Nicholas Fowle began his career in antiques in 1966, with TCS Brooke of Wroxham, Norfolk before moving to Arthur Brett & Sons Ltd. of Norwich, Norfolk. There, under the guidance of the late Frank Brett, he rose to the position of director before leaving in 1994.
He then opened his own shop in Norwich and subsequently expanded with a showroom in Newark as well as forming a partnership with another antique company. In 2007 he decided to close his retail outlets to concentrate his business from home.
In 1997, having served for many years on the Council of the British Antique Dealers' Association, he was appointed its first chairman. He has also in the past lectured both in the USA and England on English Domestic Furniture as well as broad casting on local radio.
In 2012 Nicholas decided to "semi-retire" but continues to act as an independent furniture consultant to both existing and new clients.
